How Often Should You Workout?

The funny thing about working out is that almost anything will work for a limited amount of time. Sometimes this makes giving blanket statements about almost any aspect of training some shaky ground to be on. Training frequency or more simply put, the amount of times you should workout is no different.
The body is an amazing machine and adapts amazingly well to almost anything we throw at it. At least for a limited amount of time at any rate.
How often you should workout is a really tricky question because of the variables involved. Not just in the schedule, exercises or body part splits but the actual person training and their life circumstances as well.
