Burpees Mountain Climbers And Flutter Kicks

First off, if you decide to do these exercises I would be very careful about your back. Make very sure that you never allow your back to sway. You should even keep your butt slightly up in the air if unsure. You always want to keep your abdominals very tight to keep your back safe. Start very slowly and DO NOT work to failure. Cardio At Kicking Horse

snowboard kickinghorse resortFirst off let me say that if you think fitness is serious business, you’re problably doing it wrong. Unless you’re a dedicated athlete, fitness is a total riot. If you are looking for an awesome weekend destination to ski or snowboard then look no farther than Kicking Horse Resort. I headed up there last weekend with a crew and had one of the most mind blowing experiences of my life. Read more

A New Twist To The House Of Pain WAC

Filed under Cardio

If you don’t know about the House Of Pain you can start off by reading the basics of it here.

Once you are done that, then here is the switch twist. We ran through this last night at commando cardio class. Usually The HOP workout uses lighter exercises like Bodyweight squats and Burpees, last night though we shook it up.

Here are the new choices of exercises to add in. It’s a tuff one.

Hearts = Handstand Pushups
Diamonds = Pistols (one leg squats)
Clubs = Chin ups
Spades = Elbows to knees (like hanging leg raises)

Give that a go in the gym or at home and you won’t need anything else.
