Muscle Sin - Doing Too Much Cardio
Filed under Cardio
If you’re like most bodybuilders you lift weights to build muscle and do cardio to get ripped. You’ve probably been lifting for a while now and might be wondering why you haven’t gained any muscle lately. Your diet is clean and high in protein; you’re taking quality muscle building supplements, but still nothing. Well have you ever given thought that all that cardio you are doing is counteracting with your body’s ability to build muscle? Read more
Thai Pad Combinations Workout - 1
Here is an excellent Thai Pad Workout you can do on a day when you just want to sweat. Of course you can work it on the heavy bag but the feeling will be a little different on the Roundhouses and Elbows depending on what you are hitting.
If any of these movements are unfamiliar to you that’s o.k. We’ll do clips of the basics soon in the future for all the basement ninja’s. When left and right are not specified it is assumed you are in a left lead fighting stance and that the strikes are coming from opposite limbs. I.E. Cross, hook, roundhouse means right cross, left hook and right leg roundhouse. Read more

Changes to Lose Those Last Few Pounds
Today we are going to address a fairly common question I get from a very typical (maybe even average) sort of person that is having trouble with those last couple of pounds.
Here is the set up. She is 45 years old, five foot three and weighs about 123 pounds. She is fairly lean but seems to carry that last bit of weight on her lower body. Cardio At Kicking Horse

First off let me say that if you think fitness is serious business, you’re problably doing it wrong. Unless you’re a dedicated athlete, fitness is a total riot. If you don’t believe me, then spend a weekend snowboarding with a bunch of Rugby girls. They’re fit and they know the meaning of fun.
Onto a bit about kicking horse.
If you are looking for an awesome weekend destination to ski or snowboard then look no farther than Kicking Horse Resort. I headed up there last weekend with a crew and had one of the most mind blowing experiences of my life. Read more
A New Twist To The House Of Pain WAC
Filed under Cardio
If you don’t know about the House Of Pain you can start off by reading the basics of it here.
Once you are done that, then here is the switch twist. We ran through this last night at commando cardio class. Usually The HOP workout uses lighter exercises like Bodyweight squats and Burpees, last night though we shook it up.
Here are the new choices of exercises to add in. It’s a tuff one.
Hearts = Handstand Pushups
Diamonds = Pistols (one leg squats)
Clubs = Chin ups
Spades = Elbows to knees (like hanging leg raises)
Give that a go in the gym or at home and you won’t need anything else.
